Each year on May 6, Navaoli Jyothirdinam is observed to commemorate the spiritual merger of Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru with the Supreme Divine Light. In the lead-up to the 2013 observance, Santhigiri Swami Gururethnam launched a statewide lecture series that garnered wide public and media attention. Beginning on February 25, 2013, from Chandiroor—the birthplace of the Guru—Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi delivered thought-provoking discourses addressing contemporary societal issues. Through these lectures, he issued a clarion call for moral renewal, spiritual life, and collective dedication to building a welfare state. The series concluded on May 5, 2013, the eve of Navaoli Jyothirdinam.
Under Swami’s visionary leadership, a series of Sat-Sangs and fraternal gatherings were organized across all Taluks of Kerala, as well as in major centers across India and international locations such as Dubai.
