Lulu Mall Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala’s largest shopping destination, was inaugurated at Akkulam with an investment of ₹2000 crores. Spread across 2 million sq. ft., the mall houses over 300 national and international brands, India’s largest indoor entertainment zone Funtura, and a 2500-seater food court. With modern design, eco-friendly certification, and over 10,000 jobs created, the mall stands as a milestone in Kerala’s industrial, tourism, and cultural growth.
The event was further graced by the presence and blessings of Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi, General Secretary of Santhigiri Ashram, whose vision of spiritual life, human welfare, and cultural harmony added a profound dimension to this landmark occasion. Swami Gururethnam shared inspirational quotes and words of encouragement emphasizing compassion, service, and the values of meditation and energy healing.
Lulu Group Chairman M. A. Yusuff Ali remarked that Santhigiri Ashram’s contribution to India’s pluralism is unique. Speaking as the Chief Guest at the Navapoojitham celebrations, he highlighted the Ashram’s role in promoting positive quotes, motivation, and life lessons rooted in spirituality. Sree Karunakara Guru, whose name embodies ‘compassion’ (Karuna), inspired teachings of care, service, and ethical living. The newly consecrated souvenir was released by Latin Archdiocese Archbishop Dr. Thomas J. Netto to M. A. Yusuff Ali. Director General of Fire and Rescue Service, Home Guard & Civil Defence, B. Sandhya IPS, who completed 35 years of meritorious service in Kerala Police, was felicitated by Yusuff Ali and Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi during the Navapoojitham event, emphasizing recognition, service, and moral inspiration.
M. A. Yusuff Ali, who arrived at the Ashram’s Research Zone by helicopter, was warmly received by Swami Gururethnam and the Sanyasi Sangha. After attending the Navapoojitham Conference, he visited the Spiritual Zone of the Ashram and participated in the floral offering at the iconic Parnasala. The event drew thousands, reflecting the Ashram’s influence in promoting spiritual life, motivation, and Kerala Asramam values.
