Embarking on a sacred Avadhuta Yathra, this pilgrimage seeks to rediscover and honor the sacrificial life of our beloved Guru. The journey traverses the lands that bear witness to the historic spiritual sacrifices of Navajyothisree Karunakara Guru, offering devotees an opportunity to immerse themselves in the deeply reminiscent moments of Guru’s life.
In an act of self-surrender and complete acknowledgement of Guru’s myriad sacrifices, Guru’s lineage prepares to undertake this spiritual pilgrimage, embodying the timeless ideals of Sanyasa and Brahmacharya that form the core of the Avadhuta tradition upheld by Santhigiri Ashram.
Beginning from Guru’s birthplace at Chandiroor and travelling through Kollam, the Avadhuta Yathra passes through the spiritually significant shores of Varkala, Beemapalli, and Shankumugham. The journey then continues to Thakkala, Shuchindram, and culminates at the sacred land of Kanyakumari.
This four-day spiritual journey, led under the guidance of Swami Gururethnam, stands as a profound act of remembrance, reflection, and inner awakening, connecting devotees to the Guru’s life of sacrifice and spiritual purpose.
